This room houses our Pre-School children and our Out of School Club, Jo (or Jo-Jo to the children!) leads this room with her team of 4 staff members.
Children from age 3 are able to explore, discover and learn within this room. It is spacious and well equipped with a wide variety of resources and equipment for the children. This room has free flow access to its very own outside play space as well as our large garden area.
Fun, engaging and exciting activities are planned and delivered within this room.
The children regularly take part in the fabulous 'squiggle while you wiggle'
just in case you wanted to have a look at what this is! This is just one of the many activities which supports the children’s early writing skills. The children also have fun learning the songs and actions from Jolly Phonics, having a go at our challenging maths activities, taking part in Letters and Sounds activities and just a good, old fashioned story or song time.
Children also have a 'homework folder' in which they have a variety of fun things to further support their learning, this imitative was set up in March 2016 and is working well and receiving positive comments.
During the day the children have a mixture of free flow activities where they are able to choose independently and a focus activity which is planned around the children's developmental needs and their interests.
