Kerry Francis
Company Director
Kerry started her childcare career helping out in the Laceby Acres committee based preschool in 1998 when her own children were attending, eventually gaining Childcare, Playwork and NVQ assessor qualifications.
The committee folded and this led to Kerry creating Precious Times Childcare Services in 2003. In 2009 Kerry successfully tendered to run daycare within Yarborough Academy until February 2016 when another successful tender was completed to open Riverside at its current location.
Kerry is passionate about her role in childcare and playwork, working across both settings with the children and staff at the very heart of the company ensuring they are able to flourish .
Kerry is married to Mark. They have four grown up children and in their spare time enjoys long country walks and weekends away with family and friends.
Kerry Whitney
Manager Laceby Acres
Kerry joined the team in 2002 when the Pre School was sited in the main school building, during her time her she has seen many changes finally ending up in their own purpose built building on the school site.
Kerry worked in two previous childcare settings after gaining her Diploma in Nursery Nursing in 2000 before starting at Precious Times where she has since completed her level 4 in Children's Care, Learning and Development in 2009 and a Foundation Degree in Early Years in 2012
Kerry has completed various additional courses and is qualified in First Aid, Safeguarding and Food hygiene to name a few.
Kerry has 2 children and loves spending time with them on her days off and at weekends. Kerry enjoys going on holidays, shopping and going to the gym
Helen Jackson
Manager Riverside
Helen joined the team in 2012, having previously managed two full day care Nurseries. She has worked in childcare since qualifying with a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies from Boston College in 1999. In 2015 she completed her Foundation Degree in Early Years through The Open University.
Helen is passionate about doing her very best for each and every child attending and loves to see them all grow and develop.
Helen has completed a wide variety of different additional courses over the years and is a qualified first aider as well as having level 2 safeguarding.
She moved to Grimsby from Horncastle after meeting her husband in 2010, they got married in 2012 and now two daughters. Helen loves spending time with her family at the weekends, cooking, baking and has recently taken up knitting.
Vicki Tyas
Deputy Manager Riverside
Vicki joined the team in 2012 after moving back to the area following 10 years living away, to be closer to her family. Vicki first qualified in Glasgow in 2006 and went onto complete her BA
Honours in Childcare in 2010.
Vicki has worked in a range of Early Years settings and has experience in both schools and private daycare settings. She is extremely passionate about providing the best learning opportunities for children to ensure they progress well and succeed in their later education
Vicki has completed various additional courses since qualifying such as safeguarding level 1 & 2, Equality and Diversity, Food Hygiene and is a trained First aider.
Vicki enjoys swimming and spending time with her two son's.
Vicki got married in 2022 and completed her Early Years Teacher Status course in 2023.
