Flexible Entitlement (15 and 30 hours funding)

Flexible Funded Entitlement (FFE) is a Government scheme which allows children to access funded, quality Early Years provision.

Precious Times Riverside and Laceby Acres are both registered to offer the Flexible Funded Entitlement to 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds.

The Government states that each eligible child receives 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year. This must be taken over a minimum of 2 days with sessions being no shorter than 2 hours and no longer than 10 hours per day. Funding must be taken at no more than two providers.

From September 2017 this entitlement is being extended to 30 hours for 3 and 4 year olds whose parents both work and meet the criteria, for more information please go to www.childcarechoices.gov.uk, this will give you more information about eligibility and tell you how to apply.

Precious Times, Riverside funded hours can be taken between the hours of 9am-6pm in 3 hour blocks. Examples of possible sessions are:

9-12, 9-3, 9-6, 12- 3, 12- 6, 3-6

(8-6 is available only for children receiving the 30 hour funding)

(You can top up your child’s hours by paying for additional sessions)

Eligibility

2 Year Funding

2 year olds are eligible for the Flexible Funded Entitlement if they meet one or more of the following criteria:

In receipt of:

• Income Support

• Income based Jobseekers Allowance

• Income related Employment and Support Allowance

• Support under the VI of Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

• The guarantee element of State and Pension Credit

• Child Tax Credit, (providing you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income that does not exceed £16,190)

Or:

• Are looked after by the Local Authority

• Are accessing the Early Years Support Pathway

All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for FFE the term after their 3^rd birthday
